| finally ended my drought of non-reading with this wonderful book by cecilia ahern. it's a really touching story about how the sweet husband helps his wife cope with his death.. and that you'll treasure the memories with your loved one, but you'll make new ones and life goes on. u can watch the movie too... anyways, read this within a weekend... awesome feeling of sleeplessness.... hehe got some complaints from wz who said he'll ban me from reading as with korean drama... =P p.s. i love you | | |
| My 1st time was in JC.. over 10 years back. All I remember is my friend walking me around on the blades an d then one big fall and just lying on my back for quite a few minutes. This Saturday was my 2nd time ever roller blading.... and I did well!!!!!!! =) Oooh... so much better than I imagined possible. I think it's related to skiing, maybe same movements/balance required. So that's why it came rather easily. Wz and I rented our blades for 2 hours and made it to and from the rental shop and Bedok Jetty at East Coast Park. Although we each still managed 1 fall each, it was very fun!! Needs quite a bit of concentration still, but very liberating. | | |
| Some of my new year resolutions:- - One late work night per week (broken)
- 8 -10 km run (possible depending on time to train which depends on resolution #1)
- Pick up autocad again (overcome the 'fear', find time to train, linked again to resolution #1)
- Play tennis twice a month (yea kinda super downgraded coz it used to be minimum twice a week)
well, these are the more tangible resolutions... Also decided to have a bit of change at xanga... so out with cute abercrombie boy profile & in with curious george the monkey =) | | |
| A Very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all! the reason for christmas is jesus not the xmas gifts, nor the festive food, but to celebrate the awesome significance of His birth so glad that i went for christmas service and was reminded of this and.... received unexpected but very sweet gifts from my cell group members. post-xmas blues: it's always good to do some post-xmas reflecting.... had some time-out at one of my favourite solo lunch haunts - McDonald's.... | | |
